From the Exhibit Hall to the Conference Rooms: Highlights from SHOT Show 2024

Every year, the shooting, hunting, and outdoor trade industry gathers under one roof for an event unlike any other. With anticipation building and exhibitors preparing to showcase their latest innovations, SHOT Show emerges as the ultimate destination for enthusiasts, professionals, and industry insiders alike. Let's embark on a journey to unravel the excitement and significance of this premier trade show.

A Historical Perspective

Established in 1979 by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), SHOT Show has evolved from its humble beginnings into the largest trade show of its kind in the world. Held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada, SHOT Show serves as a platform for manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and media representatives to come together and explore the latest advancements in firearms, ammunition, outdoor gear, and related products.

The Pulse of Innovation

At the heart of SHOT Show lies two exhibit halls buzzing with energy and innovation. Spanning over 630,000 square feet of exhibit space, the show floor is a melting pot of creativity and ingenuity. From cutting-edge firearms and optics to state-of-the-art accessories and gear, attendees are treated to a firsthand look at the industry's most groundbreaking products.

At SHOT Show 2024, three firearms stole the spotlight: the STG-44, PSA's new Krink, and the X5.7. While not yet in production, the STG-44 is currently in development at Palmetto State Armory (PSA), signaling a modern revival of this iconic rifle. Despite not being identical to previous models showcased at SHOT Show, the STG-44 is a new iteration that required significant setup time for production machinery at PSA's facility.

Addressing the demand for Krink models, PSA announced upcoming releases chambered in 5.56 NATO, catering to enthusiasts seeking both traditional and modernized styles. This development answered numerous inquiries about the availability of Krink models, providing options for versatile firearms in this popular caliber.

The X5.7 generated considerable buzz online, earning the moniker "MP7 at home." Developed from the Rock pistol, it features a rear charging handle and is displayed with 40-round extended magazines. Its compact yet powerful design appeals to a broad audience, showcasing innovation in firearm development.

As these firearms progress from development to production, the firearms community eagerly anticipates their release, eager to experience the latest advancements in firearm technology firsthand.

At this year's show, two innovative firearm accessories caught the attention of enthusiasts: the Holosun DPS and the Franklin Armory Glock binary trigger.

The Holosun DPS, or Dynamic Pistol Sight, redefines the handgun sight experience with its groundbreaking features. Offering a wide field of view and rapid target acquisition, this sight incorporates advanced technology to enhance accuracy and performance. Its compact design and user-friendly interface make it an ideal choice for both professional shooters and recreational enthusiasts alike.

Meanwhile, the Franklin Armory Glock binary trigger introduces a new level of versatility to Glock pistols. This innovative trigger system allows for semi-automatic firing as well as binary firing, enabling shooters to fire a round both on the pull and release of the trigger. With its smooth operation and customizable settings, the Franklin Armory Glock binary trigger offers a unique shooting experience for Glock enthusiasts.

As these accessories make their debut at SHOT Show 2024, they represent the cutting edge of firearm technology, providing shooters with new tools to enhance their shooting experience. Whether improving accuracy with the Holosun DPS or unlocking new firing capabilities with the Franklin Armory Glock binary trigger, these accessories are sure to make waves in the firearms community.
